Kinloch Cian is a smooth-coated, prick-eared, tri-coloured son of Meg and Jamie. As a younster, Cian was always into mischief, very enthusiastic and absolutely desperate to work. He would quite happily find his way under any fence and gather the neighbour's sheep. At 3 months of age he was caught trying to gather 170 ewes with lambs at foot...and not doing too bad a job either.

Cian was a challenge when he first started. He was a very quick, strong and determined wee dog but luckily he inherited Meg's listening abilities and had a huge willingness to learn. Cian has a big, big engine and bigger than that is his desire to work. He also has personality galore and if ever a dog had a sense of humour, Cian sure has one.

In March 2010 Cian moved to Brazil and won his first ever sheepdog trial in May 2010 and was 4th in his first competition on cattle. He won another trial on sheep in August. In September he was 3rd in his first Open trial on sheep and 1st in the Open cattle class. In November he became a double Brazilian National Champion when he won the Ranch category on sheep and on cattle. He is the youngest dog ever to have won the cattle and sheep competitions, and he won 6 out of 6 events to win both titles. In 2011 he was 3rd in the Open Cattle competition at the Brazilian National Championships.

We were recently offered the opportunity to bring Cian back to Wales to rejoin Angie's team and we jumped at the chance! He will be one of Angie's main work dogs. Cian is co-owned by Angie and Adao Cesar.
