Aled Owen and Roy - Winners of the Supreme Championship.
Successfully turning back a collared sheep.
Richard Millichap and Taddymoor Cap - Runners-up in the Supreme Final.
On the drive away to the first drive gate.
Richard encouraging uncollared sheep to run, and then trying to keep them
away.
One was hell-bent on returning to the group with the collared sheep.
A study in concentration at the start of the pen.
N. McVicar' Spot - 3rd overall but winner of the Johnny Wilson Memorial Cup for the best shed by dog and handler. It was a masterful display of shedding.
G.B. Jones and Eira.

I. Wilkie and Tillymauld Moss.

P.R. Tompkins and Fynnydd Bonnie

Mike Shearer's young dog, Bob the youngest dog in the competition. At 2 years and 2 months old, Bob made the Surpreme final, along with Mike's other dog, Cap. Unfortunately Bob did not find his sheep on his first outrun in the final and retired.
Michael Longton's Monty - looks like he is enjoying himself.
Dennis Birchall and his brace team Meg and Mossie. They finished third in the brace competition. Dennis gave each of his dogs a well-deserved pat at the end of their run - one of only a few to do so.

Jim Cropper's Dan had a cool down before his run. However, this was a bit premature as Dan's outrun was to the right and into the middle of a swampy section of the course which was very difficult for dogs to get out of once in. Disappointment for Jim this day.

Gordon Watt's York lining up for the shed in the qualifying round. It was hot work out there.

Andy Carnegie willing a gap to open for a shed in the qualifying round.

Lark setting off in the final, and then the heartbreaking disqualification.

Meirion Jones' Joe - 6th in the Supreme Final.

E. Wyn Edwards sending Clwyd Jac on his first outrun in the final.

The solitary job of setting out sheep. What a terrific crew of shepherds they had for this job.

Some of the other sights at the International

Two young Irish lads.

The aftermath of a lunchtime squall.

Some things are just, well, more interesting than sheep.

Two of my favourite photos. This young lad was proudly showing off his new whistle. Thankfully he had not yet mastered the art of making sound out of it, as he was trying to do this just as Andy Carnegie entered the shedding ring with Lark.
